Aveley Primary School is a local intake area school.  Please check Schools Online to establish whether you reside in this area.  Please contact the school if any further information is required.

To enrol at Aveley Primary School there are a number of eligibility requirements.  These include:

The school has places for students who currently reside within the boundaries of the Aveley Primary School local intake area as has been determined by the Department of Education.

Proof of address must be provided at the time of application.  Acceptable proof of addresses include: most recent Utility Bill (gas or power), Council Rates Notice, Water Rates, Lease Agreement or Contract of Sale and Settlement letter (including a copy of Title Deeds).

Please note that for Kindergarten entry, the child must turn four years of age on or before 30 June in the year of entry. Children who do not meet this requirement will not be accepted for enrolment.

A birth certificate or extract of birth or passport must accompany the application for enrolment. Students will be placed in the year of study corresponding to their age group.

To ensure that the most appropriate program is in place to meet student’s needs, following approval of enrolment, parents of students who require educational adjustments to access an appropriate curriculum are asked to contact the school to meet with a member of the Administration Team.

Students who were born overseas must hold the appropriate Visa before applying at the school. For overseas students who are in Australia using an entry Visa, it is necessary that the office sights the original passport and Visa of the parent (primary Visa holder) and student at the time of application for enrolment.

The school must receive a copy of each student’s immunisation records , not more than 2 months old, when parents accept a place and the enrolment is finalised. An updated copy of your child’s immunisation may be obtained by calling 1800 653 809 or online at

The Department of Education’s selection process for places in Kindergarten for local intake schools is as follows:

  1. Students living in the intake area of the school and who will have a sibling enrolled at the school in 2024.
  2. Students who live in the intake area of the school but will not have a sibling at the school in 2024.
  3. Students who live outside the intake area of the school and who will have a sibling at the school in 2024.
  4. Students who live outside the intake area of the school and who will not have a sibling at the school in 2024.

NOTE:  If there is more than one student in any of the above categories, priority will be given to students living closest to the school, measured in a straight line from place of residence to the school.
